Petri Encourages Small Business Development and Growth
Hosting a business forum this week; bringing together experts and information
Rep. Scott Petri (R-Bucks) is hosting a business forum on Thursday, June 10, at Bucks County Community College for anyone interested in starting a new business or growing an existing one.
“New businesses and jobs are essential to stimulate and grow our economy,” said Petri. “I am encouraging this by assembling business and government professionals such as certified public accountants, bankers, insurance agents, state and municipal government officials, experts in zoning and land use, representatives of business and employment advocacy groups.”
Petri will moderate a series of panel discussions that will cover such topics as business law, accounting, worker’s compensation, the State Workers Insurance Fund, insurance, growing a business, raising capital, business advocacy, zoning and land use, and workforce development.
Following panel discussions, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and pick up a number of important business resources, free of charge.
“This is a worthwhile opportunity for anyone who has been entertaining the idea of starting a business,” said Petri. “We are bringing a distinguished group of experts together to share what they know with prospective business owners. My hope is that people will come out and take full advantage of this opportunity.”
Petri’s business forum will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 10, at Bucks County Community College, Room 128 Tyler Hall, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown.
